Elderly Caregiver Course: we are nearing the end of the first class.

August 8th: a meeting marked by practice, affection, and commitment to life.

The Qualicare Institute held the penultimate class of the first Elderly Caregiver course in Curitiba. We had a lot of technical learning and also moments of fellowship, celebration, and recognition of the importance of caring for the elderly.

In the morning, the class was led by Professor Adriane Mazola Russ, with the theme "Prevention of the main urgent and emergency health problems". Participants deepened their knowledge about warning signs, frequent risk situations among the elderly, and strategies to prevent complications, always focusing on safety, comprehensive care, and the humanization of care.

In the afternoon, Professor Alessandra Tetzlaff led a class on First Aid for the Elderly. In addition to theoretical foundations, students experienced essential practical activities for the daily work of caregivers: victim transport exercises, Heimlich maneuver, use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). These practices allow caregivers to be better prepared to act calmly, efficiently, and responsibly in emergency situations.

Beyond the technical aspects, the meeting was also a moment of integration and gratitude. At the end of the afternoon, the group gathered for a get-together with coffee, cake, and a celebration of the day's birthdays, symbolically marking the conclusion of this stage of training. The atmosphere of joy, exchange of experiences, and a feeling of mission accomplished reinforced the Qualicare Institute's purpose of investing in initiatives that promote life, human dignity, and the strengthening of care networks.

The first class of the Elderly Caregiver course represents another step by the Qualicare Institute in building a society that respects, protects, and values the elderly.
