On Saturday (May 30), participants in the Elderly Caregiver Training Course at the Qualicare Institute attended a class dedicated to the rights of the elderly, taught by Professor Adriane Mazola Russ, MSc.
With a background in physiotherapy and a master's degree in Education, Professor Adriane has over three decades of clinical and academic experience in the field of elderly care. During the class, she discussed the legal framework protecting the elderly in Brazil—highlighting the Statute of the Elderly—and linked legally guaranteed rights to everyday caregiving practices.
This topic reinforces one of the course's core pillars: training professionals who view their work not merely as a technical function, but as an ethical commitment to human dignity. Understanding the rights guaranteed to the elderly by law is essential for providing truly humanized care.
The Elderly Caregiver Training Course is conducted by the Qualicare Institute in Colombo (Paraná) and offers both practical and theoretical training for those wishing to work with the elderly population responsibly and to a high standard.
